Midweek Reminders from Pastor Joel

'...the time came for her to deliver her child.  And she gave birth to her firstborn son...  "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill to all."'
St Luke 2.6-7, 14

And so it comes down to this: God in a manger.  The event, and the response: "Glory to God!"  Begin to leave the harried, hurried agenda, and turn your hearts toward the manger.  Like Mary, we receive what God wants to give us, in humility, trust, and awe.

CHRISTMAS EVE DAY WORSHIP
  • 10am...................Candlelight Christmas Service
  • 7pm.....................Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
Both services will feature special music and will be filled with Christmas carols.

ADULT BIBLE CLASSES will continue to meet on both Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, from 8:50 - 9:45am.  But there will be no Sunday School classes for the children and youth on those dates.

VACATION:  I'll be taking vacation days between Christmas and New Years holidays.  On Sunday, Dec. 31, Pastor Marti Lundi will serve as guest Bible class and worship leader.

NATURAL CHURCH DEVELOPMENT SURVEYS:  An urgent appeal to all those who were given surveys to fill out!  PLEASE complete and return your survey to the office before Dec. 31.  Do NOT put your name on it.  When all 30 surveys are returned, they will be mailed to our District Office for professional scoring.  Thanks!

CONSECRATED STEWARDS:  Redeemer has committed to an intensive, 8 week stewardship emphasis beginning in January.  The emphasis, Consecrated Stewards, will be led by Ryan McIvor from our NW District Office.  Please read my article in your January newsletter to find out more about CS.  And begin praying now for your own participation and commitment, as well as for all our members at Redeemer.

Now sing we, now rejoice, Now raise to heav'n our voice;
He from whom joy streameth poor in a manger lies;
Not so brightly beameth the sun in yonder skies,
Thou my Savior art!  Thou my Savior art!
