'Love is patient; love is
kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not
insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in
wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all
things, hopes all things, endures all things.' 1 Corinthians
13.4-7
God is love, and we are
created in God's image. Jesus' entire life was God's love revealed.
In his ministry, his death, his resurrection, Jesus shows us the heart of
God. Real, Christ-like love is not a romantic sentiment, but a lived-out
expression of Jesus Christ in all aspects of our lives.
I've got a LOT of work to do
in learning to love. How about you? By God's grace, the Spirit of
love is within us and will daily encourage and empower us to love as Jesus
loves. His love, our response!

NEW NCD SCORES HAVE
ARRIVED
Phase 2 of our Natural Church Development process
has begun with the arrival yesterday of the scores from our most recent
survey. Our highest score was in Gift-oriented Ministry: 55. Our
lowest score was a tie--Passionate Spirituality and
Loving Relationships: 37. We will need to choose which of these
two areas to concentrate on for the next 18 months. By the way, the
previous lowest score that we've been working on for two years was Functional
Structures: 24. That has risen to 41! Well done, Redeemerites!
We have much to celebrate! And plenty of work ahead!

me. We'll start our work in earnest after Consecrated Stewards emphasis is
completed.

to bake and decorate Valograms for you to give to those special people in your
life. Please watch for details in the newsletter and Sunday
bulletin. Order from the youth right after worship on Jan 28 and Feb
