‘Ask,
and it will be given you… For
everyone who asks receives…’ St
Luke 11.9-10
It
seems so simple, doesn’t it? Jesus
tells us, “Just ask!” But we,
self-sufficient Americans that we are, don’t bother to ask the Lord until we
expend our own resources searching for solutions and fixes. Jesus was a man of prayer. It was part of his daily life on
earth. Is it OK if we spend most of
our meager prayer time asking? Of
course. “Just ask,” Jesus
says. “You will receive.” What surprising treasures God has to
give us when we simply seek him out!
CANADA

lives!

visited Mike—and his wife, Joyce—shortly after Mike came out of recovery
yesterday following a quadruple bypass.
All signs look good now.
Keep Mike and Joyce in your prayers as Mike begins the long, careful
recovery process over the next few months.
