“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23.1
This beautiful Psalm has an almost magical effect on people. I’ve heard it used at funerals and weddings, graveside services, hospital visitations, and various kinds of celebrations. It’s one of those passages from the Bible that all Christians should commit to memory. Try this for the next 5 days: choose a quiet moment and a quiet space—whether at work or home or in your car—and simply say to yourself, several times in a row, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Let it move from your head to your heart, and permeate your spirit with its healing powers. I do this often myself, and I know how it can transform my anxious soul.

PRESCHOOL SUNDAY, APRIL 13: Each Spring we celebrate the blessing of our Redeemer Preschool. Join us this coming Sunday when families and children from our Preschool will be present in worship to rejoice in this wonderful ministry. Following the service there will be a reception for all, giving us an opportunity to meet and converse with our honored visitors.

PIES, PIES, AND MORE PIES! Have we ever got PIES!! Be here on Saturday, April 12, at 6pm for the fun as we auction off dozens of pies in a convivial atmosphere! Entertainment is also on the agenda, along with a visit from Uncle Sam. The proceeds will all go towards our new readerboard main sign to be erected in the front of our church.

CONSECRATED STEWARDS 2: The Bible Studies that are a part of this annual stewardship emphasis will begin on Sunday, April 27. During the four weeks leading up to Consecration Sunday, May 18, both Sunday adult classes will meet together in the Commons Room for study and discussion.
