'Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, ...in order that the Gentiles might glorify God...  As it is written, "In him the Gentiles shall hope."'  Romans 15. 4, 9, 12

The biggest issue facing the early Jewish Christian church was whether or not the Gentiles (non-Jews) could be included in God's saving love.  It's a good thing the early Church decided that they could, otherwise none of us would be Christians today!!

Therefore, Paul says, we must welcome others who are different from us and include them in the great welcome of Christ to all the world as he opened his arms on the Cross.  Welcoming the stranger is a great opportunity from God for us to practice our faith.  Almost every week in worship we have visitors and guests.  That is a prime time for us to reach out to those who are new in our midst, opening our arms and hearts to others as Christ did so beautifully and completely.

WE NEED ITEMS FOR OUR BOXES TO MILITARY SERVICE PEOPLE ABROAD:
And we need them quickly!!  We will be packing those boxes this coming Saturday afternoon at 2pm.  We still need coffee mugs, Christmas stockings 10" - 12" long, and homemade goodies.  Please  bring those items with you to our Soup Supper on Wednesday evening at 6pm, or to our Advent Vespers that follow at 7pm.  Also, we encourage you to help with the packing and mailing of the boxes this Saturday afternoon.  Thanks for your support!  Questions--contact Kathy Lisle.

MIDWEEK ADVENT SOUP SUPPER AND VESPERS:  Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 1, and continuing Dec. 8 and 15, our Soup Suppers will be held here at Redeemer starting at 6pm, followed by our Holden Evening Prayer worship at 7pm.  Please join us for these special opportunities of fellowship and worship.  If you can help with provisions for the suppers, please sign up on the sheet posted on our main bulletin board.

ADULT SUNDAY CLASS:  Our current course is entitled "Practicing Our Faith."  We invite you to join us each Sunday in the Commons Room from 8:50am - 9:45am as we deepen our understanding of Christian spirituality and life.  Each week we look at a different aspect of practicing our Christian faith. This week we move on to the topic of Keeping the Sabbath.  Coffee and refreshments are available.

ART SHOW AT REDEEMER:
